Our president Joe Smith presided over the meeting.
There were about 32 persons in attendance.
Visitors were Bill Crist, Tom Hooker, and Jim Morrison’s wife.
Joe Smith reported that Bob Fleming is not in good health.

Shop Tips
Tom Schottle showed some wires used for burning turnings.
Jim Morrison included several shop tips in his demo.

| Jim Morrison brought in about 12 various wonderful segmented items to illustrate his segmented turning demonstration. | |
| In addition Jim brought in an "inside-out" vase | |

and a beautiful large bowl decorated with an apple painted by a student of Jim’s wife.

| and a lidded box that were all engraved by Stan Cook. | |
| Tom also had a nice footed bowl with an Alabaster top. | |
| Dave Jones brought in a Hackberry vase | |
| and a couple of attractive lidded vases, one from Bradford Pear | |
| and the other from Walnut. | |
| John Crede showed us an attractive white dove he had carved (the base was turned) from Basswood. | |
| John also had a very nice segmented bowl from Magnolia and Walnut, with Ebony segment spacers. | |
| Bob Lett brought in a really beautiful bowl turned from Box Elder. | |
| Byron Young brought in an attractive bowl and plate from Walnut. He said they were turned in the manner of Jimmy Clews. | |
| Ron Jones showed us a very nice lidded dish from Walnut. | |
| Wayne Schoolcraft had another remarkable lighthouse from Walnut | |
| and "Memory Drum" also from Walnut. | |

Clarence Clarkson brought in a very tiny bowl, which had been turned by Pearle Kagen. He also showed us a kitchen utensil for making pecan pies in muffin pans.

| Stan Cook showed us some of his marvelous pens. | |
| Stan also had a wonderful Cherry bowl with a carved rim. |
