Our president, Joe Smith presided over the meeting. We had visitors; Ed Dawson, C.W. and Mary Caldwell, and Larry McCoy. Later C.W, Mary, and Larry decided to join the organization.

Show and Tell

Since we were frantically trying to set up the projection system, I missed some of this, so some people and photos may be missing and mixed up.

Byron Young brought in a nice Poplar vase with top.

He also had a large carved Walnut hollowform vase and a Walnut vase.

Jim Morrison showed us several of his wonderful turnings. He had a couple segmented hollowforms. One was from Fiddle-back Maple with Purpleheart,

and the other was from Quilted Maple.

Jim also had a couple of very nice vases, one from Walnut

and the other from Maple.

Dave Jones showed us a dish and several vases. (I missed this altogether, but here are some photos).

Bill Morris showed us a variety of nice items he had turned. He had a nice vase,

a Walnut dish (before

and after),

and some interesting and functional "3^rd Hands from Walnut and Sycamore.

Bob Lett brought in an another wonderful large Cherry bowl with a textured rim.

Warnie Lore had a fascinating Cedar dish with pierced rim,

a Cherry vase

and a "pop bottle cover".

David Gaines brought a large

and small Blow torch he had turned from Cherry, Walnut, and Pear. These were really incredible.

Next Meeting

Our Annual Wood and Tool Auction will be held in the morning, so bring your tools, excess wood, and money. One of the items to be auctioned will be one of Keith Bundy’s small boxes.

After lunch Warnie Lore will demonstrate turning Christmas Tree Ornaments.

Miscellaneous

The Newsletter will be sent by e-mail to those members who have given me their email address. This medium will contain an HTML document in which I have included links to pictures of the "Show and Tell" items as well as a link to the website. Those who do not have e-mail addresses listed with me will receive the usual hardcopy newsletter by US snailmail. Any others who wish a newsletter by mail should let me know.
